Magnolia Center is seeking team members for the following position:
Position: Primary Therapist\Clinical Counselor I, II, III:
Broad Statement of Responsibilities: This role serves as Clinical Counselor and Therapist for recovery, wellness and treatment services within an integrated care environment through the provision of assessment, treatment planning, case management, coordination of wellness and primary care, individual, educational and group therapy, and family therapy for clients. Clinical Counselor is responsible for communication among staff, clients, families, and external resources to ensure collaboration and continuity of treatment; actively participates as a part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Responsible for assessment, treatment and discharge planning. As appropriate, will ensure follow up and aftercare of client. Clinical Counselor must represent self and service line in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
Education: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology with NAADAC, State or ICRC addiction credentials. licensure (or equivalent and ability to acquire equitable South Carolina credentials). Prefer Master’s Degree with credential/license in Addiction Counseling. licensure (or equivalent and ability to acquire equitable South Carolina credentials). Exception to degree requirement can be made if employee was certified under the grandfather clause by the certification board.
Experience: Minimum of five years’ clinical experience working with clients in a co-occurring\substance abuse treatment setting. Must also be competent and experienced in: ASAM PPC III, DSM V assessment/intake processing, SASSI Administration, scoring and interpretation, along with family, group, and individual therapy\ counseling.
Special Skills & Knowledge: Clinical Counselor II and III clinicians will possess additional certification `with DBT, EMDR and\or Advanced Certified Relapse Prevention Specialist (ACRPS) competencies\credentials. Dual licensure in SUD and MH specialties may also be considered for the highest-level classification. Exceptional verbal and written skills are required to effectively express ideas and views when (a) speaking to groups, staff, outside professionals and corporate officers;(b) for preparing written reports; (c.) data input. Must possess initiative and judgment capabilities to organize and plan activities, systematize procedures, promote favorable public relations and make decisions affecting service delivery to clients. Must be flexible to adjust to changing conditions and the various details of the job.

|ALCOHOL & DRUG COUNSELOR: Performs duties in the counseling and treatment of adolescents and/or adults as assigned in either Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Program or ADSAP Services. At least one (1) year of addiction counseling experience required. Will be required to work some evening hours.
